About the Poet
Kavi Ganga or 'Gang Kavi' (1538 -1625 AD) was the first important (Hindi) poet of the ritual poetry tradition. His real name was Gangadhar. He was the court poet of Akbar. Birth, date of birth and birthplace are controversial. By the way, they are called Bhat Rao of Iknaur (district Etawah).
