Ozair Rahman taught as an Associate Professor of English literature in the University of Delhi for 44 years. Initially, he used to write in English and came back to his first love Urdu by the end of his teaching career. He got into Civil Services in mid 70s but he preferred to take up teaching as a profession.
Many of his poetries have been read by his daughter RJ Sayema in her national show Purani Jeans and poems are frequently recited on radio across India. Ravish Kumar, NDTV also read one of his poems ‘Azaadi’ in a path-breaking program. (Via Rekhta!)
