मुरज

पुं० [सं० मुर√जन् (उत्पत्ति)+ड] मृदंग। पखावज

The muraja seems to have had a shape similar to the mridanga and the mardala, but with the heads beaten surfaces much smaller.

मुरज का आकार भी मृदंग और मर्दल जैसा ही प्रतीत होता है लेकिन उसके बजाने वाले मुख अपेक्षाकृत छोटे थे।
