In childhood, I wondered how people could write stories, novels, poetry, articles, etc. I assumed it must be something like an inborn skill. But now, when people ask me the same question, then the realization hits me hard.
The thing is, we write because, to be honest, we don't have the freedom to choose our theme; it's our surroundings, experiences, observations, thinking, society, and many more factors that thrust upon us so effortlessly by giving direction to the words. We will never know what will trigger our minds. Recently, while attempting an examination, one paragraph from the comprehension section blew my mind unwillingly and led to a series of thoughts. That thought process occurs when it occurs, uncontrolled but firm.
I guess we all have something to offer to the people, to this world. We merely choose our medium to do so. Like other mediums, writing is nothing but the outcome of that expression for me. I'm glad that somehow people find it helpful or inspirational, but honestly, I don't give myself any credit for whatever I write as I learned some things and still learning the liberating truth. Here I'm not pretending to be humble, just being honest. It's great that we all have something which belongs to us only, the uniqueness. Once we find out the charisma by ourselves, we discover many things and ultimately the liberating truth.
For me, contemplation is like an uncontrolled chain reaction where a fusion of sudden realization & triggering factors takes place & writings are mere byproducts. The explosion occurs, and words leave their traces forever.
