Aaj dil ke sandook mein wo khat mila,jispe naam likha tha tera,
Wo shyahi aur khushboo mehka gayi wo haseen chehra tera,
Aaj mere kadam bhi kuch behak gaye,
Wo yaadein wo pal yuhi chehak gaye,
Dhundlate akshar ki tarah teri aahentein bhi mit si gayi,
Tere na hone ka ehsaas iss kadar de gayi,
Wo manzar hee alag hota agar tu hota saath,
Wo khat hee tha tera ,jo pakde tha mera haath.
