Dedicate thy bread and smile
to those in need
for the act of kindness
is exceedingly contagious
Once you extend your hand
to those, who can’t walk
by their own
the remaining, those
who can’t even rise from
the ground Will follow
Sit near those, whose work
smells through their sweat
they are no threat to life and hope
for they are naked and can hide
no sword inside their sleeves
but, those in long robes
who sit in high buildings
must never be trusted
For they are protected by
the hungry and weak
who themselves stand unprotected
in the sun and snow
