Heart indulges in greatest imagination,
To be an officer, mind makes preparation,
After writing well on the merit examination.
One gets ready to face family's separation,
One requests one's family's cooperation,
Though transfer policy gives botheration,
Rosy future makes one give consideration.
Even after offering a dedicated contribution,
If promotion comes not to deny consolation,
Hope-fort gets notice for possible demolition,
Again, the soul prepares for the next occasion.
Interview will be an Himalayan expedition,
Which has become now a canceled tradition,
