In the torn pages of diary
Lie many a faint memory
Of love and friendships
That with time slipped
Between the gaps of fingers
Where thoughts still linger
With age memories dwindled
As my brain slowly addled
Losing grasp of what is present
The diary brings back cognizance
As I peruse these tattered pages
And faint photographs with smudges
I reminisce those old days
Of people that moved away
Through these pages ink filled
A glorious life relived!
