If I was to live under water, perchance
A dolphin may ask me for a dance
Or I just might find romance
In a flat-fish’s upward glance
A squid may get riled and squirt
Black ink on my underwater shirt
But then a wrasse may come and flirt
And clean my shirt of ink and dirt
I may find an eel or two
Who extend a welcome true
Or meet a mermaid in the blue
Who snuggles and says,
I love you too
