Often, during meditation

Sky-dweller I am

Not the sky you'd imagine

With its clouds and stars

But Aakash, my ninth Chakra

Past the eighth, Talu

The bridge to the High

Gateway to Sahasrara

And then up

The closest I can get

Beyond my body-mind

It is truly

Peaceful there

Not an arid peace

But the benign calm

That one feels

In the lap

Of a loving mother

One day,

With the Mother’s blessings

I will rise more

And the calm

Will turn to Bliss
