A strange search, indeed, where we find
We must stop thinking, and still the mind
The seeker seeks its Self; it isn’t lost, but can’t be easily found
Till we stop seeking, and heed the Wise, ancient, profound
Says Kenopanishad in timeless words that glow
He who knows not, knows; he who knows, doesn’t know
Ishopanishad says, ignorance leads to darkness blind
And knowledge alone is darkness of a greater kind
Ignorance is useless, and so is knowledge, too
Only beyond these, you’ll find, Who seeks Who
Widely read for ages; understood by very few
Must be experienced, no explanations will do
Meditate on it & you’ll see,
it’s really worth your while
The sense of bliss glowing inside,
the unbidden, inner smile
A lightness of spirit, unmatched, serene
A mind becalmed, the unseen, seen
By eyes of the eyes, beyond the body-mind
Beyond worldly care, beyond ties that bind
