In my dreams I sometimes hear, wise words from poet Pindar
“Having learned what that is, become such as you are”.
In my dreams, I sometimes hear, Ramana, who’s always near
“You’re not your body mind, nor who you so appear”
Oh, you & I, we both know, Pindar didn’t mean it so
But both are right in what they say. I’ve now to choose my way
I’ll follow Pindar’s advice, find the ‘me’, first of all
And doing so, I’ll be free, then to answer Ramana’s call
Then Pindar’s ‘me’ that I’ve found, will no longer be around
But it is important that I know, Pindar’s ‘me’ before I go!
For without it, who’ll search, who’ll say, I must fly?
Without it who wil strive, without it, who will try?
Like the matchstick that burns itself, Pindar’s me is for me
And when it’s gone, I’ll be, transcendent, finally free
