Inside me, I’ve often seen
Wood floating in my mountain stream,
Each piece a memory bough
That I’ve tried to let go
Some of these will go for sure,
But some others, I well know,
Will just swirl near the shore
And I'll relive what I lived before
Some of these will trouble my mind
Some others will be gentle & kind
Some will make me laugh again
And some will bring tears & pain
I know, my ties I must unbind
And leave ALL these behind,
Travel in time, to moments unknown,
Where I'll reap what I've sown,
Only when rid of all I've grown,
And all that I have amassed,
In this life and lives past,
Will my stream serenely flow,
With its pure, ethereal glow
And finally I’ll be free to go
My own way.....
