I travel in my mind off and on
To find the foul and the fair
I go to corners hidden away
Tickling my neurons everywhere
I hear a lot of music there
Arab drums and tabla beats
Arias and ala’aps work their magic
Jokes are there & other treats
Demons too are often alive
And teachers with their paper & pen
Goddesses dance once in a while
New ideas prance now and then
Ego-brick walls I find aplenty
Keeping my thoughts from being free
I break all, wherever I can
They stop me from being ME
In sublime moments, I sometimes find
A niche where nothing stirs
No demons or gods, no love or hate
No mine or thine, no his or hers
And there……
Passions stilled
Emotionless, without desire
I sit
In the center
Of incandescence
Then life beckons,
For time is not now
And I leave reluctantly
One womb for another
Which I had left
As unwillingly before
