“There are people in the world so hungry,
that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”
–Mahatma Gandhi
World Food Day signifies the anniversary of the establishment of the FAO of the UN.
Well, the theme of this year is decided to be, “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow”.
However, World Food Day is celebrated all over the world on the 16th of Oct. It is a revolutionary initiative by the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) of the UN.
This global occasion marks a day to inculcate worldwide awareness and collective action to combat the issues regarding hunger and ensure healthy diet plans for progressive nation-builders.
It's been rightly said by a great man -
“It is important for people to realize that
we can make progress against world hunger,
that world hunger is not hopeless.
The worst enemy is apathy.”
–Reverend David Beckmann
