1. Tell us about your childhood. Where you grew up and how was life there ? What were your hobbies, your aspirations and guidance ?
I was born in a small town named Hatras near Agra. Being brought up in a middle class family, which fulfilled all my basic needs. I grew up in Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj. Family background of Advocate's choosing a career in writing was not easy for me. After Higher Secondary results, everyone was expecting that I would aspire to be an Advocate. I had different goals, I love writing. I chose to get a bachelor's degree in media studies from Allahabad University. I never thought that I would turn out to be a poet. Since 2017, destiny took me to a different path. I started writing and by His grace, now I am a poet and an author of two books. Apart from writing real life photography, reading and acknowledging about our religion fill my leisure time. Since childhood I was never very good in studies. My parents never forced me for anything, I always did what I wanted. Anyways my parents are way too supportive. Without them I wouldn't have reached this destination.
2. You suited up as a Poet, Writer rather early, with your poetry and writing. What inspired you to take this up? And what was your aim?
Before 2017 I never thought that I could be a writer or poet in all my life. I never chose writing as my career by DESTINATION. From 2015 till 2017 I tried very hard to get admission to one of my favorite colleges but I failed to pass the entrance and because of that I turned my pain into words. Gradually my work turned me into a writer. My aim is to make poetry and my stories relatable to people around the world. Feeling and Emotions speak better when taken the form of words. Let this flow, let people sink in, let people understand that
"we don't get what we want, we get what we deserve."
Take it positively. We always get better than what we want because God has better plans for his children.
3. What impact has your poetry had on the community?
I am willing to change the way people look towards failure and success. I want to be taken as an inspiration for the budding artists. I want to change lives, I want to touch souls. I believe everyone has a great potential to do what they aim for. I want, my writings to inspire them, change the way things are being looked upon in our society.
4. When and why did you pick up the quill? How much time did you devote to it, and did you keep your job alongside? How did you juggle both?
When I was in depression I took the help of quill to come up with a dark phase of life. During that phase, I came to know that quill is your best friend because it's always there for you to share your pain & your emotions. I felt that writing is a full-time job like any other profession but the harsh reality is that still in society people feel that writing is for hobby purposes. In the initial stage of any writer, people treat him/her like the person might be wasting their time until you are known for your what your are.
5. Who is Your favorite Poet/ inspiration and why?
I am a huge admirer of Bashir Sahab. His poetry touches hearts. His words can be felt from every inch of the soul. His simplicity defines him for what he is now. I am lucky enough that got an opportunity to go through his poems. He is man behind many young smiling faces. God bless him.
6. Mention the success you have experienced.
I think there is no parameter in measuring success but yes I had a very great experience which I would love to share with you. The most successful moment which I personally experienced was when a reader dropped me a mail saying that his depression is getting cured because of my write-up. I could feel my motive being fulfilled. I believe pen and paper are the most influential weapons. I pray for the well being of everyone around.
7. Do you have any particular audience in mind when you write, an ideal reader?
Writing and reading both are different in its own way. I consider myself to be in the shoes of the reader. I consider myself to be at the same place where the reader could be whie going through my books. I aim at touching lives and mending them.
8. What are the greatest lessons you have learned from your journey?
I was never a child good in studies. I failed at my early stages in life. The most important lesson I learnt is that never give up. Everyone when he/she starts their career feels that they would not be able to make up to the top , but trust me dear, life is way more beautiful than what we try to make it. It has its own way of teaching lessons. Keep doing what you like, one day you will have a story to tell. A story for which your parents will be proud of.
9: What are your future plans?
Life never goes on the way you decide. I am currently into writing and as a person I believe I could change lives of people with my words. Even if I could change a single person through my words, I would assume that my life's goal is achieved. At the end all it counts is that how much do serve this world to be a better place.
10: Your message for fellow Poets.
Writing is not for the sake og getting popular or anything. Write to touch lives, to mend lives, to motivate the person reading to a next level. Writing is not a career, its an emotion which one has with herself and expresses that into a piece of paper.
