Kavishala is going behind the scenes to uncover the inspirations and secrets of Khushi Dhillon:
Kavishala: Tell us all about your childhood and where you grew up. How was life different, then? What were your hobbies, early influences, mentors?
Khushi: Back in my early years I lived in Kuwait. My parents were employees and so we maintained a minimal lifestyle. My dad has really struggled his way to success which required immense work and effort to help provide for our family with a luxurious comfortable life that we live today. However, all these changes only took place in 2008 when my father had made enough money to start his business venture which took us by surprise regarding how very well it did and is still u and going successfully till today.
Kavishala: You suited up as a Writer rather early, with your writing. What inspired you to take this up? And what was your aim?
Khushi: The decision of writing a book fell in place in the year 2018, while I was reading the book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad” on a train in Canada. When I came across complex terminologies such as “Cash Flow Quadrant, Financial scorecard, Assets and liabilities I looked up to my father for clarity, While other teenagers don’t have the same privilege which builds a barrier to their learning. Hence me and my father thought of exploring the idea of writing a book so I could fill the gap for many people out there who seek interest in entrepreneurship by simply providing a summary to all the business books I’ve read up until today in the form or a short storybook.
Kavishala: What impact has your writing had on the community and society?
Khushi: By just using the format of providing summary points in the end of each chapter, along with a quote has a great impact as our generation needs instant answers hence my book has numerous real-life short stories that put forth business learning. The idea of building my book on such a format
Kavishala: When and why did you pick up the quill? How much time did you devote to it, and did you keep your studies alongside? How did you juggle both?
Khushi: we are all writers, and I have always penned down my emotions in a book it gives u time to reiterate and reflect. I feel that every individual should practice writing as we all have a story to tell. Writing is a way of self-reflection so writing a book didn’t take me more than 3 months. I gave up on my outing for these months as I had a target to achieve which was to finish a book. At the end, it all paid of when I got the first 5 copies of my book and I felt accomplished and proud. The method to avoid outings helped me maintain a balance between studies and writing a book.
Kavishala: Who is Your favorite writer/ inspiration and why?
Khushi: My father is my living inspiration as he has grown from a $200 monthly cheque to having his own company. He has forced me to read books until I got fond of them and he is
