Karishma Tanna, the star of Hansal Mehta's film "Scoop," clinches prestigious awards at the Busan Film Festival.

Adapted from Jigna Vora's book "Behind Bars In Byculla," the series "Scoop" follows the gripping tale of fearless crime journalist Jagruti Vora, portrayed by Karishma Tanna. In 2011, Jagruti's pursuit of the truth about a fellow journalist's murder at the hands of the Chhota Rajan gang ultimately leads to her own arrest, where she is falsely accused of the crime. "Scoop" premiered on Netflix in June 2023.

The accolades rolled in for "Scoop" at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards held in Busan, South Korea. The show clinched the prestigious titles of Best Asian TV Series and bestowed Best Actress honors upon Karishma Tanna. The Netflix series had secured nominations in both categories at the event. Hansal Mehta, the director, shared this momentous achievement on his social media account.

Karishma Tanna, a key figure in the show, graced the ceremony and proudly received her award on stage. In Hansal's social media post, an image captured her radiant in a shimmering black sari as she accepted the recognition.
