POSTERITY
Once we come of age in life
We do what is necessary to thrive.
We get married not just to satisfy
We beget children to multiply.
We earn salaries or make profits
We save a part to meet family needs.
That is just not limited to ourselves
That includes our future generations.
We let our children get educated
So they find their own path ahead.
We expose them to games and arts
So they pick their own interests.
We build a home to stay safe
That also provides us roof till grave.
Children eventually grow up in similarity
The cycle must repeat itself for posterity.
This cycle is not limited to only human beings
It takes place even in animals insects organisms.
Even plants and trees bear fruits with seeds
Seeds in turn grow up to be new plants or trees.
Cyclic action for sustenance a natural phenomenon
It is diligently followed by water earth and moon.
All species follow this cycle naturally
But humans break it for being comfy.
These cycles have been repeating ever since
To maintain on earth an ecological balance.
