MULTIPLE CHANCE
I had a heart attack when I was just fifty
I would have passed without angioplasty
I was lucky to be taken to hospital
God gave me chance to be functional.
I managed to live a decent life
Kept wife daughters without a strife
Daughters studied worked married
All members happy as I perceived.
Without stress life moved ahead
Reached sixty and retired
Spent quality time with grandchildren
Witnessed digital transformation.
All of a sudden COVID virus spread
Nation took harsh steps to tread
Restrictions and lockdowns declared
A lot of free time at home to spend.
Found passion in writing poetry
Published couple of books literally
Posted on social media for publicity
Somewhat lucky got recognised really.
When all going good, had a second heart attack
This was after twenty three years to be exact
This time also all at home I was really lucky
Doctor saved me again with another angioplasty.
This is my second chance to survive
God has been kind to keep me alive
Hopefully I will do some good to society
Probably what God expects from me quietly.
