Mother Earth
(World Earth Day April 22, 2024)
Earth the third planet in solar system
Only place for life with freedom
Crust and liquid core create gravity
That holds air and water in captivity.
It rotates on its axis to give day night
Revolves around the sun in sight
We face seasons in succession
We enjoy our lives in progression.
Earth is no less than a mother
It gives us light food air and water
It also gives us fuels to fire
And keep us mobile for ever.
Earth is an imperfect perfect sphere
That is flat at poles to appear
This makes it rotate perpetually
And maintain life perennially.
Moon is a lonely satellite
It changes its form every night
It looks so beautiful from earth
It's a symbol of love for its worth.
We may be groping for other planets
We have explored moon and mars
Earth is still a beautiful place
It's heaven here no one can replace.
