LIPS ... LIPSTICKS ... FACEMASK

(a small poem)

-------------------

When lipsticks were there

Lips would stick out

In beautiful shades and shapes

To entice the world around

As to foxes, the high hanging grapes

Now obscured under the masks

Focus, shifted to the eyes

Plenty, items of adornment

Leaving one .. what next .. to surmise

So are perplexed cosmetic Lords

What's the fate of lipsticks

Corona cursed the lips to hide

How long! To get back their pride

O eyes! Don't gloat in hubris

Whispered lips from underneath the mask

Will be out and open soon

Lipsticked we would sing and croon
