Emptiness Within

Strange!

When

my stomach

is empty

I can't

regurgitate,

vomit, shit.

Nothing comes out.

When

my heart

is broken,

in pain,

hollowed out,

empty...

Words gush out.

Tumbling over

each other,

in a rush

to express

the emptiness

within.

But only in poems.

Don't talk to me.
