Missing
A little panicky
and anxious to find it
I ran and looked for it in the kitchen
coz that’s the place I spent most of my time,
I hunted for it in the wardrobe
shuffled everything,
I also cast about for it on my writing desk
amidst files, half written scripts and my diary,
scavenged the garden, searched
in between the plumbago bushes,
in my car, in the glove box
behind the gramophone
in the CD rack, inside the closet, and the book cases,
ransacked every corner
but it was missing,
missing for the last twenty-two years
I must possess it again
before I walk out
in my pursuit of self-discovery …
