I looked down from the mountain top,
The majestic perch, I had climbed after long,
For a moment it occurred to me,
To take a placid leap, deep into infinity,
Into the arms of Mother Earth, the cold clear spring.
But, how would that actually feel?
Would my soul unite my soul with a greater one,
With nature, truly pure and solemn.
A great escape from reality,
Wait! Is that not why I am here on the mountain?
Jolted out of this thought, I looked around,
Saw this cloud come near to me,
The massive cloud immersed me in it,
An embrace that was warm and cool,
I sat on a moss-covered boulder,
With a little fire amid the heavy mist,
Steaming teapot and wet ground,
I put my head on those shoulders broad,
The warm heartbeat, electrifying to the chill,
And the chin rested relievingly on my head,
That warm palm contained in mine firmly,
And our smiles, that shined in this twilight,
Competing with the stars and the rising moon,
The sound of breathing hissed alternately,
With the swishing breeze echoing through the mountain.
The moon rose and rose, and shined brighter,
The fire crackled to match the cold,
The sparks from the wood danced like little angels.
The orchestra between the twinkling stars,
The fire and the steam of the tea,
Continued, on and on, in a zealous spree.
Sliding deep and deep into this mesmerizing fantasy,
I lost myself in it, much more than the deep valley did ever call me,
To the pleasure of nature's hypnotic play, my mind did frayed,
I closed my eyes and got lost in this peace,
Warm and cold,
Happy and satisfied,
Slept forever and forever!
Then sweet smell and darkness set in,
The smell fading away and the light turning bright white.
My eyes opened in a flash,
And there I was, well past my alarm,
To another morning warm,
To another day dull,
To another day of life.
