I was gazing out at the drowning sun, at the colours and the sounds it stirred.

A thought came across that the bright sun was becoming dull and blurred.

But then I realised it would come back soon,

Dramatically emerge, to send off the shiny moon.

Anyways, we would not like the sun all the time,

Not when it melts our ice-creams at its prime,

The sun always goes away for a while,

So we miss it and not want its exile.

The flower blooms and then falls down,

So I do not devote it till smile turns to frown.

The sweets I love and put in my mouth melt away,

The taste is gone, so to boredom, I do not sway.

Winter and summer and the therapeutic rains,

Come and go, so the monotony does not give me pains.

Tears I shed, dry after a while, and stop at sense,

The smile also curls back, so my jaws do not tense.

The anger that torrented on dear best friend,

Turns into a tight hug and the silliness' end.

I weep today, but smile tomorrow,

For then, there will not be neverending sorrow.

Everything and everyone in our lives,

Come, and leave like sand through sieves.

As ephemeral are the emotions they stir,

Putting our mind, body and soul in a whir.

Emotions are temporary, but they remain,

The wisdom they dawn upon us,

Through life, will never go in vain.

Respect the presence of everything in your life,

They are temporary, everything, but are very nice.
