A LETTER TO DEATH
A letter to Death
I write
“Dear Death rob me please”
Fold in the page of life
I post the page in flames
At post office ghat
My mind burning
My mind intense
My mind baffled
I’m mystified
I write the address Heaven not hell
Letter was received
Letter was acknowledged
My letter was answered by Death
Like an absolute mighty ruler in complete control
An absolute controller of the truth absolute
First came
First came his messenger
With his scroll woven in flaming gold
Words in neat hand writing
Words burning in intense flame
“I’m coming, Mademoiselle danse. I’m sure you’re in love with me,
Waiting for me”
Mr Death came
Mr Death came to me
He come riding
He come riding upon his strident horse of flames
His horses reins in his strong grip tight
“Come with me Dear Love. Marry me and be my bride. Lights and flames
Celebrations proclaim. You’ll see through into your life. You’ll know life was truly precious.” He said to me
Like a cold dew in my cold bridal dress
Like a drop of dew wrapped in my bridal shroud
I embarked upon his horse
He put me upon his lap
I was one with my Death
Into his flame
