Oh Poverty!

You are ever green,

In all forms of government,

You are clearly seen.

Programmes after programmes

Are seriously framed,

But they can never harm

You or your reign.

All nations on earth,

Or all planets in the universe,

In all religious maths,

Methods and dogmas,

Carefully framed to defeat you

Yet all in vain. Oh Poverty!

You are ever green.
