Your needs aren’t much

A little food, a loving touch.

A daily walk , a comfy couch.

Your soft silk fur not much to groom

Your gentle presence fills a room.

Your soft round eyes, one brown, one blue

Enchant us all with their different hues.

Its hardly ever that you complain

Nor bother the neighbours now and again

Its only when we are not nearby

That your little soul begins to cry

And when to me the world seems dark

You cuddle close and touch my heart.

Your always know just what to do

When things look bleak and friends are few

You look expectant with questioning paw

Looking longingly at the door

And plead with me to bring the car

To take a ride to the park. It’s not far.
