I am a product of the remains of an agony,
That continues shaping my today.
Irrespective of how pink my today appears,
It still wears the pale brown of the past,
And the past is such -
Which reduces my stature every today,
Making me just a bone out of a marrow,
Running away day by day and everyday.
"Today is a bliss" - I tell pushing myself,
"Today is blessed" - I console my reduced self.
Amidst all the hope and love that today brings,
It never receives a warmth
Until and unless it becomes a tomorrow.
Accept the today for it exists,
Tomorrow is yet to receive a shape,
And it'll never come to you as it is -
Tomorrow too prefers hugging you as a TODAY.
