BOMBAY
Human beings all around
But how HUMANE a being really is?
Often crossing paths walking down a narrow street
No conversations but only a shallow greet
Faces that exhibit a superficial gratification
Hidden amidst the crowd is the gripping shadow of isolation
Promising dreams that seem like glittering gold
Luring masses at ideas easily bought and sold
You've made poets, you've made writers and story tellers
Offered platforms and woven several characters
Boasting of the gleeming Queen's necklace
Where under each ornated strand of light
Wander souls looking for a moment of solace
The heterogeneity that you shelter often reflects the beauty you behold
You have a zillion stories, some that soar some that remain untold
Voices that remain silent ,voices that galore
Some recognised and some that drown across the sea shore
Each day you have a new face
Each day you show a new side
Surfacing upheavals of emotions
Synonymous to the silent low and the violent high tide
