Cannibalism drains restfulness out of dreams;

Cats chasing cats, as though, dogs have gone extinct:

Cold shivers, draws attention to, adorning shawls against threat:

Puked, at the sight of this heinous act:-

“It’s your first time.” Smilingly she says

“Wait as you watch it again and again – it’ll sink in –

 Becoming the new normal, it won’t bother you!”

 I think to myself, wondering,” Then why is she shielding herself by using ‘it’ in lieu?”

Cannibalism, a reality, destiny of the destitute,

Said to be alive in countries like Congo, Fiji – New Guinea

Abhorring perception, of life truly being so unpredictable, to the next level –

Where the hunter and hunted co-habitate –

Lead lives like friends, until hunger and survival steers’ intent,

To ingesting what the other is made of, in you.
