Ah! I used to see vast open blue skies and deep, endless oceans;

Green and green like evergreen in limitless forests, always set in motion;

Honied nests of birds chirping as if on an ever-growing medley of songs;

People whistling and singing along to the merry rhythm of life, winterlong.

Oh! Then one day washed upon the shores: hasty industrialization;

The streets full of murmurs of the new trend of urbanization;

Huge factories and nuclear centres brimming with energy and power;

People stuck in homes in front of massive buildings from which they cowered.

Ah! How I dream of open blue skies and deep, endless oceans;

Green and green like evergreen in limitless forests, always set in motion;

Honied nests of birds chirping as if on an ever-growing medley of songs;

People whistling and singing along to the merry rhythm of life, winterlong.

Alas! Little did I know that the world I once knew was changed in haste;

Ships towards my dream of sustainability turned against winds beyond the control of the mast;

For I was told that the air quality has degraded in deduction.

Little did I know that, as Earth, my ship has always been destined for an apocalypse- the total destruction.
